2010 NABBA/WFF International Championships: The Women

In May each year the best men and women in Australia gather in Melbourne, Victoria to contest the many classes open to them at the NABBA/WFF International Championships. This year the event was held in Preston on May 23rd, and was a qualifier for the 2 major events overseas - the NABBA Worlds in Malta and the WFF Universe in Greece.

2010 NABBA MISS BRITAIN FINALS PREJUDGING and SHOW

The 2010 NABBA Miss Britain Finals was held in Southport, England on the 29th of May. There were 3 FIGURE CLASSES being TONED FIGURE and TRAINED FIGURE CLASSES 1 and 2.
This DVD presents the complete prejudging and show with all the posing routines and all the comparisons through to the final awards and Overall Trained Figure posedown and award to Rosanna Harte who represented the North East.

MISS TONED FIGURE
The winner of this very high standard class of 18 was the amazing NATALIE WOOD - North West, with RIA WARD – North East in second place and the outstanding Scot LYNN CARMICHAEL in 3rd place.

MISS TRAINED FIGURE CLASS 2
In first place was the dynamic poser, ROSANNA HARTE – North East, who displayed to perfection her flawless symmetry, and outstanding condition. It was obvious from her routine that Rosanna has also had training in ballet dancing such was the style and charisma she brought to her performance. I have seen none better! In second place was MICHELLE CALLAGHAN – also North East with GAIL BELLINGHAM - Midlands taking out an excellent 3rd place.

MISS TRAINED FIGURE CLASS 1
This was a tough class of 9 outstanding Figure competitors with JODY SHUTTLEWORTH – North East overpowering the rest of the class with her size, shape and condition. In second place in the best shape of her life, it was REBECCA WILLIAMS – North East and in 3rd place a very impressive and greatly improved DANIELLE FINDLAY – Midlands. What made it even more impressive for Danielle was her beating last year winner in JO SPERRING – West, who had to settle for 4th place.

The OVERALL TRAINED FIGURE MISS BRITAIN title went to ROSANNA HARTE.

REGIANE DA SILVA - IFBB FITNESS PRO - THE LATIN SENSATION

Regiane Da Silva burst onto the Professional scene in 2006, after a stellar rise through the amateur ranks. She has competed in USA since 2006, where her career has taken off. Her best placing ever was 4th last year at the Arnold Classic Fitness International, but who knows where this amazing athlete will place this year.

The DVD follows Regiane through her career starting in 2002 at FIBO in Germany. We are taken through a full-body workout in her own gym, and see all her professional career highlights from 2006 to 2009.

Next our cameras follow her through photo shoots in Germany and Las Vegas – this is one HOT lady! The Las Vegas poolside pumping and posing was shot on the day after the Fitness Olympia. Regiane is in sensational shape.

This DVD is topped off with a brief interview with John Hansen and intimate pump room footage at the 2009 Fitness Olympia, plus the prejudging and show routines from the same event. This is the most important Professional Fitness DVD we have ever produced. This is why we have kept in the German language parts for our many German customers in the Extra Scenes. There is very little English in the rest of the DVD, just pure Fitness Action!!

1987 NABBA UNIVERSE: THE WOMEN - PREJUDGING & SHOW

What a superb line-up of top women at bodybuilding's premier amateur event of the year!! This prestigious event, staged in London on September 12th at Wembley, was split into 2 separate classes for women.

For the first time in NABBA history the Professional Class was held on a separate day at a different venue to the 1987 NABBA Amateur Universe. This year the 1987 NABBA Professional Mr. Universe contest was held in Yorkshire, northern England. That date was 26th September, 2 weeks after the NABBA Amateur Mr & Miss Universe.

This was the year when the powerful USA women's physique team took the top 2 spots in that class. It was a first and has never been approached since.

This was the second year that the women's competition was split into two classes - FIGURE and PHYSIQUE. Connie McCloskey of U.S.A. won the Physique Class and Sonia Walker of England won Figure Class.

Donna Hartley-Wass of UK also competed in the Physique section and placed third. This gained an enormous amount of positive publicity for NABBA in the UK Press because Donna was a highly acclaimed track and field athlete who had been awarded the O.B.E. She had a truly superb physique as well!!

This contest was also notable for the presence of the beautiful Italian Tania Panza - she only placed 5th, but was one of the very first girls to wear a G-string on-stage. She later went on to win major titles including the overall PHYSIQUE title at the NABBA Worlds in 1990. Click here for PCB-122DVD.

Many times champion MARY SCOTT had to bow this year to SONIA WALKER in the FIGURE Class.

Tonya Knight has become known the world over for her outstanding body, which some say is the most perfect specimen of the female form ever. She is a Miss International having won the women’s bodybuilding class at the Arnold Classic, and has also won the Italian Bodybuilding Grand Prix. She epitomized all that was best in women’s bodybuilding.

This DVD features her highly publicized 1991 Biceps Tour of the UK. Between press conferences and photo-calls, she talks about starting out, and the pros and cons of bodybuilding. LADY ADONIS – KAY BAXTER

A TRIBUTE TO THE LIFE AND TIMES OF THE FIRST LADY OF BODYBUILDING - KAY BAXTER YOUNG

This award winning feature chronicles Kay's rise from obscurity in the late seventies to the pinnacle of bodybuilding fame in the early 80s. Includes previously unreleased archival footage as Kay's career is recalled and celebrated in a series of montages.

Kay Baxter Young starred in more bodybuilding films and videos than any other female bodybuilder, and this quintessential look at this world famous lady gives an amazing insight to Kay the person and Kay the bodybuilder.

Kay placed 8th in her first Ms. Olympia in 1982 and 16th in 1984, but never considered wavering from her pursuit of maximum muscle. “Someone had to stick her neck out for the cause of muscular women ... and I’ve got no regrets about that... not one”, she said. One of her catchphrases was "Get built without guilt".

Kay died in a car crash in LA in 1988 just as her career was moving towards films. She was inducted into the IFBB Hall of Fame in 2001.

This video launched the career of the Fem Muscle Legend Iron Lady - Kay Baxter.

The story is based on a cartoon character - Atlantia: The Iron Maiden. Her creator is taken suddenly by dark forces and Atlantia is brought to life to avenge his early demise.

As in all of Kay's movies she is in top shape as she poses, enjoys a little romance, fights and punishes her enemies on the road to revenge.

2009 WFF World Championships - The Women & Couples

Held in Lebach, Germany, on 31st October, 2009, this major international bodybuilding and fitness event attracted an outstanding quality field of competitors from around the world. The WOMEN’S DVD covers all the action from the Women's Classes listed below and the Couples Class:

Of particular interest is the emerging new Russian star in the WOMEN SUPERBODY CLASS by the name of Zhavora. From the body language of the Russian runner up, Natalia Zhavora, she felt that the judges had a bad day in placing Kristina Kudynova ahead of her. Even though she looks unhappy in our photo taken at the awards, we are using it any way on the front cover (left) to show what outstanding potential she has and what a physique this young lady has already achieved. I feel she is a future NABBA Universe Class winner with her symmetrical shape, clean lines, muscularity and excellent genetics.

Countries to dominate at this year's contest were Lithuania and Slovenia. This was an amazing effort from such small countries. The contest was expertly run and promoted by Tamara Konz.

Jackie Paisley was an IFBB professional female bodybuilder from the United States who 3 times competed in the Ms. Olympia. She was one of the top competitors in women's bodybuilding in the late 80s and early to mid 90s. Her biggest success was winning the 1989 Ms. International contest at the Arnold Classic event.

2008 NABBA-WFF International Contest - The Women

More than sixty superb competitors gathered for this event at the Camberwell Civic Centre, Melbourne, Australia on Saturday May 10th. A huge variety of NABBA and WFF categories were contested, including Figure, Physique, Glamour, Fitness and Couples.

It was an international qualifier with the winners from the NABBA competitors selected for the 2008 NABBA Worlds in Greece, while the WFF winners were destined for Germany to compete in the massive 2008 WFF Universe event. It was a huge battle between the New Zealand and Aussie women.

This DVD includes every moment of every round through to the final awards.

Gorgeous WFF Miss Figure Class 2 winner, Lisa Saygun, took out the WFF Overall Women’s title.

2008 NABBA UNIVERSE: WOMEN – PREJUDGING & SHOW

Held in Southport, England on October 4th, the 2008 NABBA Universe Women's event saw strong competition in 3 separate classes being FIGURE CLASSES 1 & 2, and Miss PHYSIQUE.

You will see the complete posing routine of every single competitor from the Prejudging, and the Top 6 in each class posing at the evening show. Includes rounds 1 and 3 from prejudging, plus the posedown for Overall Figure Champion, as well as all the awards and posing for photos at the end of the event.

RACHAEL GRICE from UK brilliantly won the Figure Class 2 with an awesome display. The Class 1 winner was the incredible Russian star, MARIA STUKOVA who went on to claim the Overall Figure Title from Rachael in the posedown.

VIVIAN HIJLKEMA from Holland brought her incredible physique and excellent conditioning to the contest stage to take out the MISS PHYSIQUE UNIVERSE title.

2008 NABBA MISS BRITAIN – PREJUDGING and SHOW

The 2008 NABBA Miss Britain was held in Southport, England on 31st May. There were 3 FIGURE classes for Women as the Physique Class held at the NABBA Universe is no longer contested at the Britain. The 3 Figure Classes were TONED FIGURE and TRAINED FIGURE Classes 1 and 2.
This DVD presents the complete prejudging and show with all the posing routines and all the comparisons through to the final awards and Overall Figure presentation. This famous contest has a history stretching back to 1930. This was the first time that GMV has actually shot and produced the DVDs from this NABBA BRITAIN event.

MISS TONED FIGURE
The winner of this outstanding class of 16 wonderfully toned and athletic women was the brilliant KAY FERRIER. Kay presented an overall package that got her a narrow victory over Andrea Feistead with Kizzy Vaines in 3rd place. In 6th place and displaying enormous potential was Cherry Abell, the 24 year old daughter of Julia Abell who was the Physique Miss Universe winner of 1998.

MISS TRAINED FIGURE CLASS 2
In first place was the outstanding, symmetrical and superbly conditioned physique of KATHRYN MULLEN. She had the total package for Figure Class competition such that she later went on to win the overall posedown for this category. Kathryn was a worthy winner with an outstanding figure, produced by many hours of hard training over a number of years. Her posing routine was extremely powerful and highly entertaining.

Runner-up was the delightful Louise Thornton with a figure that I hope we will see once again in Southport, competing later in the year at the NABBA Universe. I also feel sure we will see a lot more of the outstanding figure bodybuilder, Andi Black from Northern Ireland, who placed 3rd in the Britain.

MISS TRAINED FIGURE CLASS 1
This was a tight class of 6 outstanding figure women with BECKY WILLIAMSON taking first place by one point from Joanne Sperring. Both women were in superb shape and there was nothing between them. 3rd place went to Janey Brookes, and of special note, there were only a few points difference between the top 3 women, such was the closeness of this competition.

2008 Iron Man NPC Figure Competition

The 2008 IRON MAN NPC FIGURE COMPETITION was once again a top quality event. 17 top class athletes took to the stage at the LA convention Center for the prejudging and then again for the evening Finals.

As usual the competition was intense, with DANIELLE EDMONDS, a class winner last year emerging as the overall winner for 2008. There were 4 classes of competition with every single round and all comparisons included in this DVD. It also includes the awards to the 4 class winners and the Overall Award to DANIELLE EDMONDS. She will be featured later on the cover of the Iron Man magazine.

The DVD also includes interviews by Kenny Kassel at the LA FitExpo with JENNIFER KLINE, DEBBIE BELL, ZHANNA ROTAR, NICOLE ROLLOLAZO, KYLA McGRATH, CATHY LE FRANCOIS and TIMEA MAJOROVA.

The Finals DVD delivers all the exciting action from one of the world’s premiere women’s events. In the Fitness International contest, the sublimely athletic KIMBERLY SCHEIDELER-KLEIN proved to be too strong for Jen Hendershott and the rest of her opposition.

The gorgeous Figure International line-up was better than ever with GINA ALIOTTI winning for her first time at the Arnold Sports Festival from an outstanding runner-up in JENNIFER GATES. Gina is bound to be a serious threat at the Figure Olympia later this year.

In the Ms. International event, YAXENI ORIQUEN and DAYANA CADEAU were the two main contenders in this class with Yaxeni taking her 4th title at this event to now hold the record number of victories in the women’s competition. As usual, Californian Governor and the namesake of the event, Arnold Schwarzenegger, talked to the delighted winners on stage and added his legendary charm to this world class contest.

2008 Arnold Classic Complete Women's Prejudging - Ms International, Figure International and Fitness International



See the complete rounds for all three women’s classes - BODYBUILDING, FIGURE & FITNESS from the exciting prejudging session, held on the main stage at the Greater Columbus Convention Center. The Prejudging is shown exactly as it took place, with the order of rounds listed below under CONTENTS.

We shot some amazing footage from our key position on the riser as well as from side stage. Every compulsory pose and every single comparison is included, along with the 45 second fitness routines in black leotards. You also see the hard fought rounds for FIGURE where you will witness the intense battle between the top contenders.

KIM SCHEIDELER-KLEIN and JENNIFER HENDERSHOTT battled it out yet again for Fitness International honours and YAXENI ORIQUEN and DAYANA CADEAU were the two main standouts in the Ms International class.

In the Figure Class is was GINA ALIOTTI versus JENNIFER GATES in a very even competition. In the end it was SCHEIDELER-KLEIN, ORIQUEN and ALIOTTI who all went on to seize victory at the FINALS.
