Art Atwood & TJ Humphreys - Men of Steel

Art Atwood - I was born on December 27, 1973 in Wisconsin. I grew up on competitive sports, mainly football and track. I started training with weights when I was twelve to increase my speed and power. I was very fortunate to have coaches and an older brother who were knowledgeable and committed to intense training. They were my major motivators and taught me the basics of weight training.

Now, 16 years later, I have mastered the sport of bodybuilding. Taking my inner drive to be the best. I utilized all my efforts to transform my body into a walking form of "Art". Through mind blowing training sessions and by eating tremendous amounts of chickens and cows. I have built a body that is powerful and ultimately unique. God has blessed me to be able to take my passion for bodybuilding and use it to support myself and encourage others to get into the best shape of their lives.

I met T.J. at one of my contests through a mutual friend and after talking with him for only a few minutes, I could tell that he had "it." That "it" is very unique and rare quality that few people own. "It" is a fire that burns deep within and a personal drive to be the best. T.J. called me up one day and gave me an opportunity to come down to Dallas to build my supplement empire. Gratefully, I took the offer and things started to really happen for the both of us. We started training together and it was a BLAST! We mad this video to capture our sessions together and I believe you will really enjoy it!

Needless to say, T.J. scored a TON of photo opportunities at his show and I made a top 5 placing at my next professional contest. Both of us are enjoying the "lifestyle" that we created and we are here to share our experience with you! Train hard, live your life to the fullest, and God Bless!

T.J. Humphreys - I started bodybuilding in the summer of 2004 on a bet from a friend of mine in Colorado. He dared me to compete, and I had no desire to get up in front of a thousand people in a bikini, but Justin told me something that I will never forget... he asked me to compete for all of the guys out there who bust their asses in the gym but don't have the genetics to win. At that point, I felt obligated, and to this day, that drive and ambition is fuelled by the fact that God has given me the physique and the work ethic to excel in the sport of bodybuilding and fitness modelling.

I was "discovered" by Meredith Apel of Weider Publishing at the 2005 USA. She picked me and the eventual winner, Phil Heath, for their photo shoots that weekend. Out of 200 competitors, Phil and I were the chosen ones. Since then I have been cast to shoot two covers and 5 articles for Muscle and Fitness since the USA. And, in June of 2006, I got my first contract with Prolab Nutrition as their featured athlete, and have featured Prolab products in FLEX and Muscle and Fitness magazines.

I have been at it for two years, and it has been one helluva ride. I'm looking forward to what the future holds for me, so stay tuned!

Dorian Yates Blood & Guts DVD Ultimate Edition

This is the NEW and ULTIMATE VERSION of DORIAN YATES BLOOD & GUTS DVD. The 2 DVD set.

We have added around two and a half hours of NEW MATERIAL to present all of the life time footage that we could find featuring the fabulous career of 6 time Mr Olympia, DORIAN YATES. Much of this was shot by GMV Productions during Dorian's career and includes our last interview with him in 2002 at the Olympia Expo.
The contest footage covers his career from his first British victory in 1986, to his Olympia appearances (thanks to the generosity of Andy Olson of Magna Media) to many of his Grand Prix victories to guest posing and more.

Not to be missed are the 25 minutes of wonderful, interesting and funny out- takes, thanks to Mark Dugdale and cameraman Joel Barham, from their shooting with Dorian recently at the Temple Gym in Birmingham. This footage was shot whilst filming Mark's latest DVD "A week in the Dungeon", available from Mark Dugdale as well as from GMV.

After we scoured our video archive for most this new material we then went back through our photo files from all the contests that we or our photographers have covered during Dorian's career. This has turned up a number of fabulous, previously unseen photos which have been scanned and added to the huge PHOTO GALLERY. It now contains around 150 photos covering every aspect of Dorian's career from training in the gym to the stage to private and informal shots. Our thanks to Dorian, Lee Dickens and all who contributed photos. We hope that you will enjoy what is now the Ultimate Edition of the Ultimate video record of the career of the Ultimate Mr Olympia - DORIAN YATES.

DORIAN YATES BRIEF BIO:

Born in Hurley, Staffordshire, near Birmingham, England, Dorian Yates commenced working out in 1983. The man dubbed “The Shadow” (by FLEX Editor-in-Chief Peter McGough) shone a new light of awareness onto training methods with his brief but very high-intensity workouts. After some important victories in England – 1985 Novice Championships and 1986 and 1988 British Championships – Yates visited New York for the 1990 Night of Champions and, in his pro debut, he took second place to Mohamed Benaziza. He vowed that next year he would return to win this contest. He did!

In 1991, Yates was the runner-up at the Olympia to Lee Haney, who won his eighth record-setting Olympia and then retired. From 1992 through 1997, Yates dominated the sport’s highest title with 6 Sandows in a row. In 1994, he overcame a torn biceps to win the crown. In 1997, his most valiant victory came when he tore a triceps three weeks prior to the contest, but still battled on to victory. Due to the injury, Yates was forced to retire at the peak of his career, with a pro record of 15 wins and two second-place finishes. Being a six-time Mr Olympia should say it all, especially when you consider the freakiness with which he redefined all the parameters of bodybuilding. He is truly a legend of the sport and to many people, the greatest bodybuilder of all time!

Dorian still runs his famous Temple Gym in Birmingham and also now has his own line of supplements.

BRANCH WARREN - TRAIN INSANE DVD

Over 2 hours of video that provides the viewers an intimate look at a typical week in Branch Warren’s life. You will see all his workouts by day, and a glimpse of Branch’s life outside of the gym. Branch Warren Bio.

Warren has featured in many bodybuilding magazine articles, as well as appearing on the magazine cover of Muscular Development. He endorses MuscleTech supplements. He currently lives in Keller, Texas with his wife Trish Warren, and often trains at MetroFlex Gym in Arlington, Texas.

Peter Wall - Junior Mr. World, Teenage Mr. Australia: what an incredible young physique! We filmed this talented youngster at his peak in 1989 when he took the junior bodybuilding World Championships by storm. Full of aesthetic grace, and awesomely symmetrical, Peter shows us his physique at its most incredible best. Just check out those extraordinary pecs and triceps - sheer perfection.

The video starts with Peter’s prize winning routine from the NABBA Universe and then leads into his informative interview. Peter tells us of his plans for the future, his hopes, dreams and aspirations. We see him working out in the studio, assisted by Mr. Personality himself, SHAUN DAVIS. Shaun, a Mr. Universe winner, is massive and compliments Peter’s superbly symmetrical and defined physique.

Finally our cameras follow Peter to Spain, where we share with him his thrilling victory as he wins the 1989 Junior Mr. World Championships. Since we taped this feature with Peter he has gone on to win the overall Mr. Australia title TWICE! Only a crippling back injury has prevented his becoming a top professional.

Shannon Monroe - Teenage Mr. America is a different type of physique from Peter. He is tall, handsome, and a couple of years younger. He has enormous potential, as he will undoubtedly pack a great deal more muscle onto his 6’ frame in the future.

Shannon pumps and poses his muscles in our London studio using dumbells, and other apparatus, until the sweat trickles down his well-defined body. This segment of 20 minutes also includes an interesting interview with Shannon. He was one of USA's finest young bodybuilders at the time we shot this feature.

Andreas Munzer - The Real Workout

This is the only workout video from the Austrian world champion and pro bodybuilder Andreas Munzer. It was produced just prior to his tragic death in 1996. This unique film shows his personal workout and nutrition strategy which made him one of the world-leaders of professional bodybuilding.

Munzer was said to be one of the most conditioned and shredded bodybuilders of all time. You can also see him in some of our FIBO videos.

Jacques Neuville: Mr. Universe gym workout and posing.

Jacques Neuville has been one of France's all time greatest physiques having competed with distinction in the Mr Olympia on a number of occasions. As a Mr Universe winner he displayed the classic aesthetic European lines which made him the idol of millions.

2001 EFBB Amateur Grand Prix

This top amateur Men’s Event was held in conjunction with the 2001 IFBB English Grand Prix, the winner to get his pro card and compete in the Pro Grand Prix that night. The brilliant winner was ALEX GEORGIJEV of Wales, and we interviewed him backstage after his victory.

1988 IFBB Australasia Bodybuilding Championships

The 1988 IFBB Australasia was held in Sydney - and it was a blockbuster, attracting the cream of Australia's bodybuilders. The largest crowd to date was in attendance with enthusiastic fans hanging from the rafters. Ian Riley walked away with top honors in the Men's Over 90kg Heavyweight division. His size, hardness and balance, coupled with a stylish posing display made him the male star of the show.

The Women's Over 52kg winner, blonde bombshell, Melissa Croft, worked hard for her victory. She had good muscular size, great legs and a winning personality. Ms. International, Erica Giesen, gave the appreciative audience more than their money's worth with a sensational guest posing routine lasting more than 5 minutes.

GLASS is now best know as the trainer of Gunter Schlierkamp and other top IFBB Pros.

This classic was taped poolside in 1983 the day GLASS and WILLIAMS won their IFBB Mr. Universe titles in Singapore. Their muscularity, vascularity and separation are awesome as they display paper thin skin over bulging muscles. This was an intense pumping and posing session, with sweat pouring under the hot and humid conditions.

The DVD also includes a segment of CHARLES GLASS and MIKE CHRISTIAN working out at FIBO '90, before Glass presents his famous posing routine at the Expo.

The third physique showcased is NPC Teenage Mr. America FRED BELKNAP pictured below, the younger brother of Mr. Universe, TIM BELKNAP. He has superb definition with huge muscle size for one so young. This pumping and posing segment was shot in a Los Angeles studio.

2009 Arnold Strongman Classic
A great title for USA!
The 2009 Arnold Strongman Classic saw only the third new champion crowned since its inception in 2002. This year the honors went to Connecticut police officer and World's Strongest Man runner-up, Derek Poundstone, who improved on his second placing in the 2008 Arnold Strongman event. It was a see-saw contest with the six time Russian National Weightlifting champion, Mikhail Koklyaev, and Poundstone separated by a solitary point at the end of the final event. Poundstone's incredible world record of 15 successful circus dumbell lifts sealed the title over the mighty Russian. Strongman royalty were also present as judges, officials and MCs. These included Magnus Ver Magnusson, Bill Kazmaier, Žydrunas Savickas, Mark Henry, Odd Haugen and David Webster O.B.E.

Richard Baldwin - Super Tape

We have put together all of our film footage on Mr America RICHARD BALDWIN to make a fantastic SUPER TAPE.

It was said by famous IRONMAN Magazine writer Roger Schwab:“Richard Baldwin has a fine, graceful physique, the type the general public can identify with.” This DVD starts off with Richard’s performance at the 1977 AAU Mr. USA.
Next we see Richard in extreme “muscle worship” type close-ups, from oiling and pumping to posing on the beautiful Venice Beach in California. Includes full body and close-up posing, with emphasis on the best biceps in the Mr America contest of 1978.

The second part was filmed at “Muscle Rocks” near Malibu in July, 1978. Shot on a brutally hot day, with sweat dripping and muscles pumping and flexing, this sequence is a Baldwin classic. Many close-ups as DANNY PADILLA helps Richard pump up before Richard poses solo and then duo with Padilla. The duo posing turns into a posedown in this famous sun-drenched location!

The final sequence shows Richard competing in the middleweight class of the 1980 IFBB World Amateur Championships in the Philippines followed by a gallery of 41 superb photos showing Richard at his ‘sliced and diced’ peak.

Here is a brief summary of the 1996 Mr. Olympia:
The winner Dorian Yates was as incredible as ever such that no one could touch him. However, Nasser looked awesome and massive, with his back much bigger, wider and better than last year. Many people thought Nasser should of been crowned #1. However it all ended in disaster for poor Nasser.

Probably the biggest surprise of the night was Shawn Ray's second place finish, over Nasser! Shawn looked incredible and the top five place finishers all looked great, and almost everyone said that this was the best Mr. Olympia ever. Judging by how close the results were, it was almost a case of anyone in the top 3 placings. Only later on did we learn that Nasser failed the diuretics drug test, and was disqualified (he was announced in 3rd place that evening).
A surprise in 9th place was the sensational Charles Clairmonte who was completely overlooked.

Classic Australian Contests of the '70s: With star guest posers.

In this DVD we have assembled our earliest Australian contest film footage going right back to 1972. Take a look back in time at the many greatest physique stars to grace a posing stage down under.

At some of these National Championships you will see star guest posers such as ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER, FRANCO COLUMBU, SERGE NUBRET and ROGER WALKER. These superstar guests were at the peak of their careers. Of special note was the guest posing in 1972 of Arnold and Franco on the Australian Gold Coast in Queensland. They posed solo with long encores, and then performed a duo posing routine for the sell-out audience.

At the 1977 Mr. Australia see the sensational guest posing by SERGE NUBRET. ROGER WALKER, formerly from UK, later placed 6th in the 1980 Mr. Olympia representing Australia.

The top Aussie competitors include FRANK COLOMBERA, PAUL GRAHAM, GRAEME LANCEFIELD, IVAN DJIRLIC, CLYDE BIRD, JOHN KOZIURA, ROBERT NAILON, GEORGE SEREDYNSKI, ROBERT DEEGAN, PETER McCARTHY and SAMMY IOANNIDIS. Back in the 70s in Australia, nobody made any film record of Australian contests. Film was expensive and technology was difficult for recording live events on a low budget. Sound film was way more expensive and out of the question. In 1972 with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Franco Columbu coming to Australia as guest posers at the Southern Universe Contest on the Gold Coast, it was time to shoot some of my first ever major contest footage in Australia. This was followed by my filming at the 1972 Mr Australia. Both contests being held under IFBB rules.

This is a DVD of major historical importance both in the context of Aussie bodybuilding, but also for world bodybuilding. This was the early days of USA superstars making posing tours to overseas countries. It was also Arnold and Franco's first visit to Australia.

The day after the Gold Coast Southern Universe contest, I shot my classic pumping and posing films with Arnold and Franco poolside at the former Chevron Hotel pool in Surfer’s Paradise. On the rear cover you will see Robert Nailon’s historic photo from the end of my filming session showing Paul Graham with Arnold and Franco. My thanks to Robert for this great photograph. Paul Graham and Frank Colombera were the leading and most famous bodybuilders in Australia in the early 70s. In these 2 classic 1972 contests you will see Frank come out a very narrow winner over Paul. It has been my privilege to have recorded this early history of the sport in Australia on movie film. My thanks to promoter Bob Bruce who invited me to come and cover his event on film. He took an enormous financial risk at the time in bringing to Australia both Arnold and Franco. Bob is one of the unsung heroes in the history of the sport of bodybuilding in Australia.

The next major international star seen in this DVD is Serge Nubret, who was the special guest poser at the 1977 Mr. Australia won by Ivan Djirlic. This was 2 years after Serge was runner up to Arnold in the 1975 Mr. Olympia. He was in incredible shape and brought the house down, similarly to Arnold and Franco in Australia, 5 years before. 2009 NABBA Britain Finals: Men – The Show

The 2009 NABBA Britain Finals was held in Southport, England on the 30th of May. The evening Show DVD gives you an in-depth look at the best British physiques from all areas of the UK. You will see the posing routines of all top 6 competitors in each of the 8 classes, plus awards, and the judging and posedown for Overall NABBA Mr Britain.

We had the truly amazing star in big Dave Titterton from the N.E. We had not seen Dave for some years since he last competed in the NABBA Universe. He is tall, he had size, good proportions for a big man, great legs and back and huge arms – topped off by a wonderful set of abs - plus outstanding condition. If he had competed at the NABBA Worlds 2 weeks later in this condition, we have no doubt he would have taken the Overall World title as well.

When it came to the judging of the 4 Class Winners at the evening show for the Overall NABBA Mr Britain title, Dave Titterton must have started as the hottest favourite in some years. At least that is how we saw it. Without doubt he has a physique of World Class standard. In fact he would not look out of place in any Professional lineup. Not surprisingly he got the judges’ decision and joined the long line of greats who have claimed the Overall NABBA Mr. Britain title.

1993 NABBA World Championships: The Prejudging Men & Women

In 1993 the NABBA International World Championships came down to the Southern Hemisphere, and was held in Auckland, New Zealand, much to the delight of the 3,000 strong crowd who turned out to see the show. Competitors came from as far afield as Russia, England, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Samoa and of course, "locals" from Australia and New Zealand.

It was a fantastic lineup showing some of the most ripped and muscular physiques seen at the World's for some years! The competition developed into a tussle between the Australian and German Teams - the Germans in particular were stupendous, as is obvious by the major trophies they took home!

However, they couldn't beat all of the Aussies. DEBORAH COMPTON who took out the Overall Women's Physique title, and TONY BARTON, Australia's top Junior Physique champion who won his class with a resounding World Junior title. 1987 FIBO

Here is another superb lineup of bodybuilding stars and many different exciting events at the famous FIBO Bodybuilding Expo in Germany. This was only the second year of the event to be released on video and it is now on high quality DVD.

The Rich Gaspari - Seminar and Posing

You’re in for an entertaining and enlightening seminar, plus an electrifying posing routine and encore by the most dynamic physique champion of the 80s. Handsome, articulate young Rich Gaspari, loaded with confidence and charisma, presented his ‘one-man show’ before an enthralled audience.

As an added bonus – we include Rich’s sensational guest posing routine at the 1987 IFBB Australasian Championships in Sydney, with a brief interview on Sydney’s famous Bondi Beach.

At the seminar Rich strips his shirt off, pumping up on stage...the first time we have seen this done at a seminar. The audience loved it and so will you! You won’t want to miss Rich’s famous shredded “butt pose” – a rare treat now that the “moon” pose is banned.

The seminar questions and answers are broken into segments and shown in conjunction with Rich’s three posing routines and interview. To further improve the quality and presentation of the questions, most are asked by the promoter of the seminar on behalf of the audience.

Rich has become one of the youngest ever Mr. Universe winners, and twice second place Mr. Olympia 1986 and 1987. 1996 NABBA German National Championships: The Men - Evening Show

With 3 million bodybuilders, Germany is the second strongest bodybuilding country in the world after USA. Accordingly 11 classes were needed to cater for the huge number of competitors making this easily the largest number we have seen in a single contest.

Held in the famous Jahrhunderthalle in Frankfurt on June 1st, 1996, GMV covered this incredible event featuring 175 outstanding competitors in total. Separate DVDs have been prepared for both Men and Women from the Evening Show. We were not able to produce Prejudging DVDs from this event due to time constraints. The posing routines of all finalists in every class are included, plus all awards and posedowns in all classes.

The Show finished at 2.15am after 7 and a half hours of non-stop action!! This is our first DVD featuring the BRAND NEW CLASS, - MEN'S FITNESS. It's more aesthetic, smaller, muscular - athletic, less bulky look. Nothing is left out in this 145 minute super DVD.

CARLO SIC was a most outstanding winner with deeply cut abs, incredible condition, huge arms, very good legs and back and a winning smile and great stage presence. Held in Southport, England on October 4th, the 2008 NABBA Universe Men's Prejudging & Show 2 DVD set brings you the complete NABBA Mr. Universe event for Amateurs and Professionals.

DISC #1 – The Amateur Men’s Prejudging.

This disc includes the complete posing routine of every single amateur competitor, line-ups of Round 1 and at least 3 sets of key comparisons from all Round 3s.

DISC #2 – Men at The Show including Professional Class.

You will see the posing routines of all top 6 amateur competitors in each class plus the judging, comparisons and posing routines of all Professional Mr. Universe competitors. Includes the posedown for the Overall Amateur Mr. Universe, won by LIONEL BEYEKE of France, plus all awards. Lionel made history by being the first Frenchman to win the Overall Amateur Mr. Universe title.

2009 NABBA World Championships: The Men’s Prejudging

This year the NABBA World Championships was held at the STEEL ARENA in the historic Slovakian city of Kosice. See all 7 Men’s classes from JUNIORS to MASTERS OVER 40 & 50 and the 4 OPEN classes. We witnessed an incredible standard, with amazing quality in each class. The show enjoyed the biggest audience ever seen at a NABBA contest - almost 3000 fans. It was a real bonanza of hard core muscle showcasing the best amateur bodybuilders from around the world.

In this DVD we include the complete posing routines of all competitors and every single comparison from Rounds 1 and 3 in each class. An exceptional quality prejudging DVD shot from our prime position, from centre front of stage. At the end of the day it was a unanimous victory for Slovakia’s VLADIMIR FLIMEL.

COMMENTS ON THE EXTRA SCENES
The DVD contains the most comprehensive selection of EXTRA SCENES we have ever offered from an international contest. 30 minutes of them! The promoter Arpad Mester turned on a night of pure entertainment that was simply incredible.

This time the extra scenes include a different slant in the extensive PHOTO GALLERY. Apart from the usual bodybuilding pictures from front of stage, we include Wayne's peek behind the scenes during set-up, plus other interesting informal photos in and around the contest.

Dennis Wolf: Hungry Like A Wolf

Dennis Wolf, just coming off his 5th place showing at the 2007 Mr. Olympia, stars in this one of a kind DVD.

MIKE MENTZER - THE FINAL CHAPTER, with RAY MENTZER

This 3rd and final DVD consists of all of our remaining segments of Mike and Ray Mentzer in one super DVD feature. It is a tribute to these 2 wonderful bodybuilders who sadly passed away in June 2001. The first half of the DVD is devoted to Mike with Part 2 showcasing Ray. Here is a brief description of the various segments.

MIKE MENTZER TRAINING AT HOME

The legendary Mike Mentzer at his awesome best - a full length home posing and pumping display with closeups on all body parts. This was filmed in Mike's apartment, in West L.A. in July 1978. It was the final solo posing session Wayne shot with Mike. He was in ripped pre-contest condition and performed muscle control that will blow your mind, including the incredibly difficult isolation 'rope' pose!! Every muscle fibre, every vein and every sinew was on display as the camera goes right in for some incredible closeups.

Mike displayed each body part in slow, deliberate flexing, rippling poses. He gave his absolute all. Includes oiling, pumping and dumbell workout. A brutal filming session - according to a sweat soaked Mike! See what he had to say about this filming session in his comments written into his training book he signed and gave Wayne at the end of the shoot!

For 21" arm lovers and those who appreciate the magic and charisma of MIKE MENTZER at his peak, this whole DVD is a must. The Mike Mentzer at home segment is the highlight of the DVD and runs for 28 minutes.

This final DVD on Mike and Ray has been 12 months in the making as we researched and gathered together all of our material. In the years 1977 and 1978 I took around 250 photos of Mike and Ray. I went through every photo on file in selecting the best ones for the DVD photo gallery. I have selected 36 exquisite photos of the brothers which had never ever been scanned or seen before. I think you will enjoy this unique look at the Mentzers at their peak in both colour and B&W photos. These rare unseen photos were all taken at my various filming sessions with them in those 2 years.
